This early 1800's Baroque-style oil painting depicts a portrait of a child playing with toys. The red haired child is clothed in a piece of fabric that drapes over its shoulder and rests in its lap. The child is seated leaning on a toy drum. In the child's right hand is a toy jester with a mask and bright color costume. This painting features a chiaroscuro technique with heavy shadows with a light shining on the child and toys. This painting has damage from wear and age but is ready to be hung on any wall for years to come.
